Mr. V. Subramanian, lovingly known as Sami, is more than just a resident at our Home—he is its gentle soul and guiding light. Since joining us in 2019, Sami has touched the hearts of every visitor and donor with his wisdom and serene presence.

At 81, Sami carries memories of a distant past, having worked alongside the British. Each day, he shares stories—tales of perseverance, kindness, and values that resonate deeply with everyone. Yet, the magic of Sami goes beyond his words. Sponsors often believe that his heartfelt prayers bring miracles to their families. Time and again, families have seen new beginnings—babies born, weddings celebrated—after receiving his blessings.

Sami’s resilience is extraordinary. There are days when illness keeps him bedridden, making loved ones worry. But unpredictably, he springs back, his strength returning like hope after a storm. His son remembers a time when doctors had given up, and family members gathered for final goodbyes. Miraculously, Sami opened his eyes, rose from his bed, and embraced life anew.

Life was not always gentle for Sami. Before Care N Lift Foundation’s stewardship, ill residents were sent away, and Sami depended on his son for every need—a heavy burden, often unmet. Today, everything has changed. A dedicated nurse now offers compassionate care, ensuring medical attention and comfort. Whether it’s a government hospital visit or everyday support, Sami knows he is safe and valued.
